A novel design fiction depicting an alternative conception of futures as convivial spaces.

Project Details

This project explored the future of public libraries and civic engagement through design fiction. It consists of a series of exploratory interaction design concepts that culminated in a fictional artifact; a call for grants from the Institute of Museums and Library Services (IMLS) in 2035. The call for grants encourages the reader to imagine the library as convivial civic space. The design fiction can be downloaded here (pdf).  Role: design researcher, designer
